Kim Day
Practice Manager
Kim was an integral part of the initial opening of Carson Endodontics, working closely with Dr. Carson from the construction phase right up to its opening day. Kim and Dr. Carson worked together previously, so she was excited to team up with her again on this endeavor. Kim has almost 20 years of experience in the dental field, and educating patients is her passion. Kim states, “It’s very rewarding when you help someone understand the treatment they are receiving and how it’s going to help them feel better and improve their overall health.
When Kim is not helping patients, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
Ashley White
Treatment Coordinator
Ashley came to us three years ago. She began her career with us as patient coordinator helping patients get checked in. She recently moved into the insurance/finance coordinator position. Ashley is available to help answer many of your questions regarding insurance coverage and payment options. She loves talking to patients about their insurance benefits and how to best utilize those benefits.
She is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia and currently resides in Suffolk with her husband and two children.
Ashley Whitlow
Dental Assistant
Ashley, our lead dental assistant, joined the team over three years ago. She has found a real passion in the field of dentistry and is currently pursuing her education in dental hygiene at Old Dominion University. She is compassionate and sensitive to her patients needs and enjoys educating them about their treatment.
She lived in California and Hawaii before deciding to return home where she currently resides with her dog Milo.
Melinda Smith
Dental Assistant
Melinda is originally from southwestern PA and has been in the dental field since 1985. Graduating from Median school in Pittsburgh, PA, and worked as a general dental assistant for 18 years. Prior to dental assisting, she attended Sullins College in Bristol, Va and on to Point Park College in Pittsburgh, majoring in dance. She and her husband moved to Virginia Beach in 2003 where she started working in the field of Endodontics, bringing compassionate care to patients.
Melinda enjoys biking at the beach, gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Sofia Mancill
Dental Assistant
Sofia is from Williamsburg, Virginia. Before joining our practice in 2023, she was working as an Optometrist assistant. Since coming to our office, she has expanded her knowledge of the dental field and genuinely enjoys educating her patients and helping her team.
Sofia loves her two rescue cats, Soup and Padme. She also enjoys crafting and baking in her spare time.
Aniyah Smith
Dental Assistant
Aniyah is the most recent addition to our practice. Aniyah experienced her own dental emergency which led her to our office and ultimately become a member of the team. You can find Aniyah on the clinical side assisting Dr. Carson or at the front desk from time to time. She enjoys taking care of patients ensuring they have the same wonderful experience she had as a patient.
Aniyah recently a “dog” mom to a four year old husky and loves spending time with her.
